Introduction

FlexifyGuard is a fraud-prevention app for Shopify. It scores every order and checkout your store receives, blocks known bad actors, and gives you the tools to review, hold or cancel risky orders — from inside your Shopify admin.

What FlexifyGuard does

  • Scores every new order for fraud risk the moment Shopify creates it
  • Records and scores checkout attempts, including ones from bots that never load your storefront
  • Blocks visitors, checkouts and orders by IP, IP range, country, email, email domain or customer
  • Lets you write your own rules ("if X and Y, then cancel the order") without code
  • Shows Shopify's own fraud assessment alongside FlexifyGuard's, on one screen
  • Cancels or holds orders in Shopify for real — not just in a dashboard
  • Detects bots and scrapers, and tells verified search-engine crawlers apart from them
  • Scans your catalogue for listings that put your payment processing at risk

What FlexifyGuard cannot do (because Shopify does not allow any app to)

  • Stop a payment attempt on Shopify's hosted checkout page. FlexifyGuard can score, flag, block the source and cancel the resulting order, but the payment attempt itself happens on Shopify's side.
  • See failed card attempts or declined payments. Shopify does not share these with apps.
  • Show a CAPTCHA or challenge on checkout.
  • Learn from chargeback outcomes, unless you grant a Shopify Payments disputes scope (not requested by default).

We state these limits up front because a fraud tool that overpromises is worse than none.
